It’s the same old story with the same headline: Most Americans agree that lawmakers owning stock in industries they’re regulating is corruption, plain and simple.

Members of Congress should represent their communities first and foremost — not try to get rich from being in office. But Rep. Gabe Evans and his MAGA cronies have done nothing to reform our campaign finance system, and that’s because they benefit the most from it.

In the Marines, we held ourselves to a higher standard of conduct. Why can't we hold our elected leaders to the same standard?
