These are difficult times. Every day, Trump and the Republicans push policies that threaten democracy and silence the voices of women and communities of color. It can feel overwhelming, even impossible.

But here are two reasons I have hope: the over 1,200 Emerge alums in office (from school board to Congress), who are leading and protecting our communities, and the women stepping up to join them. Every training we run, every woman we prepare to run for office, is a step toward rewriting the rules, turning the old boys’ club into the new girls’ network.
