Look, plenty of digital ink has already been spilled about the Trump administration’s mafia-esque hit job against Jimmy Kimmel. I won’t subject you to my dissertation on the subject.
We all know what this is about. Donald Trump is an authoritarian thug, and there is no such thing as an authoritarian thug who supports free speech.
Monopolizing media and news platforms.
Firing commentators.
Canceling shows.
Arresting members of Congress, protestors, community leaders for speaking out.
These are un-American activities. Patriotic people who love our Constitution know that if a beloved public figure like Jimmy Kimmel can be axed, NOBODY is safe from Trump’s war on free speech.
We’re Americans. We know the right answer is not to bow down and shut up, but to speak up so loud, in such huge numbers, that this administration is powerless to stop us.
That's exactly what we did, and guess what? Jimmy Kimmel is coming back on the air. That's huge.
