John xxxxxx, When Joe Kerr says he understands what working people are going through, he isn’t reading from a briefing. He has lived it. Joe doesn’t often talk about his childhood, but it shaped the values that guide him to this day.
Joe’s family knew what it was like to live paycheck to paycheck and still come up short. Sometimes his father donated plasma to afford shoes for the kids, and when food was scarce, their church stepped in to help. And when both of his parents were suddenly hospitalized with life-threatening issues, Joe spent a short time in foster care until they could return home, surrounded by people who reminded him that even in the toughest times, you’re never alone.

Every dollar helps us take on Young Kim and her special-interest backers and keep this campaign in the hands of real people who have been ignored, underestimated, and left behind for too long.
Joe Kerr hasn’t forgotten where he came from, and with your help, he’ll never stop fighting for families like ours.
