I’d like to share an encouraging story with you today. This is tough work reaching moms and saving babies from abortion. And I’ve found that sometimes we just need a reminder of why we do this work together.

You see, when Aria discovered she was unexpectantly pregnant, fear gripped her heart.

As a mom of two already, unemployed, and in a fragile relationship, she felt trapped. Hemmed in on every side, it felt like an impossible situation.

Memories of a past abortion and a recent miscarriage haunted her. The world told her an abortion was the only way out — but something inside her longed for a different path.

That’s when she found you helping her find a better way.

Because of your generous support, Aria was reached at her moment of deepest need and connected with our national contact center. Immediately, she received compassionate, Christlike care. She spoke with a nurse who helped her slow down and consider all her options.

Aria now had someone to listen to her and meet her where she was. She had a growing support system that was removing barriers to choosing life. Then, at one of our life-affirming pregnancy centers, she saw her baby on an ultrasound for the first time — healthy, strong, and undeniably human.

Still, the road wasn’t easy. The baby’s father ultimately abandoned her. But thankfully, Aria’s story doesn’t end here either.
