TELL CONGRESS: Trump is outraged that attempts to prosecute his political enemies have
failed. He ranted to Pam Bondi on Truth Social that "JUSTICE MUST BE
SERVED, NOW!!!" No matter what the laws, facts, or evidence shows, Trump
wants to target his political opponents. Congress must stop Trump's

Trump has spent his second term relentlessly attacking people and
institutions he disagrees with: Democratic politicians, pro-Palestinian
advocates, media outlets, law firms, museums, colleges, comedians, and
many others. And he just publicly urged Pam Bondi and the DOJ to pursue
his political foes no matter what.
Trump complained on Truth Social that Letitia James, Adam Schiff, and
James Comey hadn't yet been punished. "JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED, NOW!!!" he
wrote. "We can't delay any longer." ^1 It's all part of Trump's
authoritarian push to silence his critics and punish dissent against his
administration.
Congress must take a stand and stop Trump and his loyalists from
persecuting and punishing people for doing their jobs, exercising their
First Amendment rights, or simply holding a position that doesn't fit his
violent, far-right ideology.

The New York Times reported on just how blatant and chilling Trump's
directive is: "Even for a president who has shattered the traditional
norms of maintaining distance from the Justice Department, Mr. Trump's
unabashedly public and explicit orders to Ms. Bondi were an extraordinary
breach of prosecutorial protocols that reach back to the days following
the Watergate scandal."^2
Trump even outright said that critical media coverage of him is "illegal."
Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, "When 97 percent of the stories
are bad about a person, it's no longer free speech."^3
Trump won't rest until he silences and punishes his critics. Congress must
stop Trump's MAGA crusade.
