Hi John, From the bottom of my heart, I first want to thank you for all the support, love, and kindness you’ve shown me over the years. The community we’ve built here since my 2018 and 2020 campaigns is something that continues to inspire me. It has always been my belief that our democracy works best when everyone has a voice. However, people on the fringes are trying to overtly rig our elections to give Republicans an artificial advantage in 2026. This will disenfranchise voters across the country if we don’t take action here in California. That’s why I want to take a minute to talk about what’s at stake on the ballot this November: Proposition 50. Why it matters: Trump’s allies across the country are rewriting the rules to rig elections and steal more power in Congress. It started with Texas Republicans, who approved a map to deliver Donald Trump five more Republican seats in the U.S. House of Representatives ahead of a single vote being cast in the 2026 election. What Prop 50 does: It protects California’s fair share of seats in Congress, so our voice can’t be silenced by partisan games elsewhere. The impact: Without Prop 50, Californians could lose representation in Washington — even though our population hasn’t changed. Prop 50 is about fairness. It’s about making sure Californians aren’t punished for political games driven by Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans. And most of all, it’s about protecting our democracy when it’s under attack. In the days and weeks ahead, I’ll share more about what’s at stake and how you can help spread the word.
