The work to get healthcare for these faculty members was hard. From what started as campaign in 2021 to the passage of legislation in 2022, many districts questioned whether the funding would remain–it did and still does fortunately.
Having just rolled out this spring, 90 part-time faculty have already started taking advantage of the plan, and it is starting to transform their lives.
CFT Faces Legislative Headwinds but Pushes Forward

This year brings with it the challenges of a national administration that is, to put it mildly, anti-public education, anti-academic freedom, and anti-union.
CFT One-Faculty Task Force Moving from Words to Larger Actions
CFT took a tremendous step forward with an inaugural CFT Statewide One-Faculty Workshop held online on July 1st with over 100 members, both part and full-time faculty from over 19 different locals.
