John,
A long-shot dream of white supremacists might turn into a reality thanks to a 6-3 decision from the Supreme Court of the United States. The Court didn't say Trump's executive order to end birthright citizenship is legal, but it did strip federal judges of the power to block it nationwide while the case works its way through the courts.
Trump's order would strip citizenship from babies born on U.S. soil whose parents are undocumented or on temporary visas. This guts the 14th Amendment and overturns more than 125 years of settled law.
Trump's executive order will remain on hold due to the lower court injunctions in the 22 states that sued to block it, but it will take effect in the other 28 states unless they also file lawsuits. Send a message to your state’s attorney general, urging them to sue to block Trump’s executive order that could end birthright citizenship nationwide.

The 14th Amendment is clear: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States… are citizens of the United States.”1 That makes Trump’s executive order unconstitutional. But the Supreme Court ruling is currently leading to a patchwork of citizenship standards across the country.
A child could lose access to health care, schooling, and legal protections, all based on what side of a state line they were born on.
This is not a fringe issue. It’s a test of whether we remain a democracy governed by the rule of law—or slip further toward authoritarianism.
Your Attorney General has the power to push back. If your state hasn't yet sued to stop this outrage, your attorney general needs to act. And if you're in one of the states that already has, we need to encourage your AG to recruit other states to join fast.
Send a message to your Attorney General, urging them to protect birthright citizenship.
Thank you for all you do,
