It was a full week in Washington, as the House acted to keep the government open
while continuing to negotiate all 12 annual appropriations bills, and passed new legislation to strengthen American energy independence and support long-term economic growth.
On the economic front, I was honored to join the TECRO Taiwan Agricultural Trade Goodwill Mission Reception, where Taiwan committed to purchase $10 billion in U.S. agricultural products through 2028. This is a big win for American farmers and a major step in strengthening our partnership with one of our closest Indo-Pacific allies.
I also joined colleagues in honoring the life of Charlie Kirk and standing firmly against political violence.
Finally, thank you to everyone who joined last week’s Tele-Town Hall. I’m always grateful for the opportunity to hear directly from the people I serve.
