Wyoming DEQ Releases Final Agenda for Second Annual Water Quality Conference
Statewide, Wyo - The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is pleased to announce that the final agenda is now available for the second annual Wyoming Water Quality Conference, scheduled for October 15-16, 2025, at the University of Wyoming (UW) Conference Center in Laramie.
This year's conference promises to be a key event for professionals, community members, and students interested in Wyoming's water resources. The final agenda is packed with a variety of talks across general sessions and four distinct tracks, including:

Main Speakers:
The conference will feature four speakers who will provide unique perspectives on water quality issues. Our speakers are:
Todd Parfitt | DEQ Director: As the Director of the DEQ, Todd Parfitt provides strategic leadership for the entire agency. He is responsible for overseeing all divisions and programs to ensure the agency’s mission of protecting, conserving, and enhancing Wyoming’s environment is met.
Jennifer Zygmunt | WQD Administrator: Jennifer Zygmunt leads the DEQ Water Quality Division (WQD), working with her dedicated staff and partner agencies and organizations across the state to protect and restore Wyoming’s water quality for the benefit of current and future generations.
Keynote Speaker, Cyrus Western | EPA Region 8 Administrator: Cyrus Western, a Wyoming native, serves as the Administrator of EPA Region 8, which oversees Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. Before his appointment, Western was a Wyoming State House of Representatives member, where he served as House Majority Whip, was a member of the Minerals, Business and Economic Development Committee, chaired the Oil and Gas Bonding Working Group, and was vice chair of the Tourism, Recreation and Wildlife Committee.
Dr. John Koprowski | UW Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources Dean: Dr. John Koprowski is the Dean of the Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources at the UW. He is an internationally renowned wildlife expert with decades of experience in conservation, research, and education.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with experts, network with peers, provide feedback on proposed projects and initiatives, and learn about how the WQD works to protect and restore Wyoming's water for current and future generations.
