Waterfowl hunters: Help stop invasive species spread
Preventing the spread of aquatic invasive species takes everyone's efforts. If you are hunting waterfowl, please help to keep Nebraska's waters healthy by taking precautions to avoid spreading damaging invaders this fall.
Be sure to conduct "clean, drain and dry" procedures before leaving a water body. This means:
* Removing any visible plants or mud from your gear
* Not using invasive plants, like phragmites, in your hunting blind
* Draining all water from your equipment before you leave
* Letting gear dry for five days, or wiping it down with a towel, before re-using.
