Dear Friend,
The new school year brings a mix of emotions, joy, excitement, and nerves. But for many immigrant students, it also brings fear. With ICE raids happening in our communities, too many students walk into school carrying the weight of uncertainty and anxiety. Schools should be safe spaces where every child feels protected, respected, and supported, no matter their immigration status. As parents, educators, community members, and allies, we have a shared responsibility to build classrooms that are truly welcoming for all students.
That’s why MomsRising is joining local and national partners in coming together on Thursday, September 25th at 5:00 PM ET for a virtual community call, where we will hear from advocates, parents, and educators from across the country, share tools, and explore ways to build solidarity and foster safe learning environments.
Spanish interpretation will be provided, so please feel free to share with your Spanish-speaking friends and family.

Join us on September 25th and be part of a powerful movement pushing back against the toxic rhetoric targeting our immigrant communities. We are building something bigger than hate, a community rooted in justice, care, and collective action, and we need you with us. Together, we're fighting to ensure that every student, no matter their status, ZIP code, skin color, ability, or background, walks into schools where they belong, their learning is protected, and they have every chance to thrive.
Let’s make it happen, together.
Thanks for all you do,
--Beatriz, Kelsey, Monifa, Donna, Linda, Sheila, Xochitil, Kristin, and the whole MomsRising.org & MamásConPoder Team
P.S.– Please share how attacks on public education are hurting you, your family, and your community!
