We see again and again how guns will never result in greater public safety.
John,
We grew up hearing that a “good person with a gun” could stop the bad person. What just happened in Spring Grove, Pennsylvania proved that wrong.

Three detectives lost their lives and two more were gravely wounded while trying to protect a woman. The gunman, armed with an AR-15 style rifle, ambushed them inside her home. Even trained and armed officers could not escape the devastation of our nation’s gun crisis.
Our hearts are with the families grieving this unimaginable loss. And our hearts are heavy with the knowledge that tragedies like this will keep happening until our leaders have the courage to act.
Until we confront this crisis and pass stronger gun laws, fund prevention, and keep weapons of war out of our communities, nothing will change and gun violence will continue to affect us all.
We refuse to accept this as normal. We’re building a movement rooted in a vision for a safer future, without guns.
If you’re able, chip in $20.25 or whatever you can today. Together, we can honor the lives stolen by fighting for the change they deserved.

We’re not going away any time soon and we’re going to keep fighting until we secure a future free from gun violence for all.
