Friend, have you heard of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)? Since the 1970s, it has been one of the strongest tools we have to defend our air, water, and communities from polluting industries.
But, right now, the Trump Administration is trying to gut this and other critical environmental safeguards from the inside out -- making it easier for oil and gas corporations to pollute our hometowns and silence frontline community voices.
Under the guise of "streamlining," they're working to make it easier for polluters to build gas terminals, pipelines, and other dangerous infrastructure in our backyards -- without public input or environmental review. They're also putting up roadblocks to stop readily available clean, renewable energy.
I know it can feel intimidating to try to make a difference with all of the challenging things happening right now. But collectively, we still have power. And I can't do this without you.
