July 8 | Wednesday | 4:00pm - 5:00pm ET
Webinar (registration required)
Over the last three years, the Trump administration has made drastic changes to the U.S. asylum system. The changes have been fast and furious, from attempts to ban asylum seekers who entered the United States between ports of entry, to forcing more than 60,000 to wait in squalor in Mexico while their cases wind their way through the backlogged U.S. immigration courts, to recent proposed changes to the asylum system that would essentially make it impossible for anyone to find safety in the United States.
On this webinar, we’ll hear from Smita Dazzo, HIAS' director of legal services, and Naomi Steinberg, HIAS' vice president of policy and advocacy, about the changes to the U.S. asylum system and how you can help fight back.
