OKDEMS Booth at the State Fair!
Well folks, it is finally over. The State Fair was in OKC for 10 days, and our team was there for every part of it.
Firstly we all owe props to our Operations Director Molly for keeping the booth staffed, up and running, and welcoming to all the folks who visited.
Now here's what I learned from just the couple of shifts I worked at the State Fair.
* There are a lot of Democrats from all over Oklahoma!

* All kinds of folks are fed up and want to find ways to get engaged. We registered lots of new voters!

* Lots of folks are looking for ways to be productive right now, and how to be in community as we fight back.
* Every Democrat I chatted with was thrilled to see us!
* They all wanted to know more about the different events and fun get togethers [[link removed]] Democrats across the state are holding!
* People love meeting candidates!

* Our community is a resource that Democrats around the State don't know they have.
* Several excited Democrats came into our booth and visited our website for the first time, founds us on socials, and learned about the resources and trainings we offer!
* We were able to brag on the huge number of active County Parties we now have and connect Democrats with their local groups and upcoming meetings! [[link removed]]
* There's a hunger for change and not enough people know that Oklahoma's Democrats are already fighting for them!
* Elected Democrats are the best spokespeople for our Party!

Folks had a lot of questions about showing up as loud and proud Democrats in Oklahoma, but everyone who stepped into our booth was gushing with appreciation and enthusiasm.
Honestly, my shifts at the State Fair made me hopeful that all of us in this State are better than what the algorithms and cable news shows tell us about each other.

P.S. For those of you looking for the next best thing to try, I'd say the Silver Dollar Cinnamon Rolls were the best thing I ate at the State Fair.
