From Washington Teachers' Union: "More than 300 educators have moved from across the world on H1B Visas to fill critical roles in DC Public Schools. They have become treasured members of our community and have planted deep roots. But in January of 2025 DCPS abruptly canceled their established Green Card policy without notifying anyone. This has put a 6-year deadline on each person with an H1B." Sign the petition to DCPS telling them to support international educators.

UMD graduate workers call for more transparency after summer payroll delays

The UMD-Graduate Labor Union (UAW) received more than 100 reports of missing payments since this university transitioned to the new administrative system last fall, according to a July email from the campus organization, which advocates for collective bargaining rights for graduate student workers.
