Friend, earlier this month, Ukraine endured its largest airstrike since Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022.
A government building in central Kyiv was set ablaze. Apartment homes were hit. Families gathered on the streets in blankets, watching flames consume their homes, destroying everything they owned. At least four people were killed, including a baby.
As the violence continues, moments like these remind us that the war in Ukraine is far from over. Project HOPE remains on the ground, standing with health workers and families through it all.

Since 2022, our teams have continued working through unimaginable danger: ambulances targeted by drones, health workers killed while trying to save lives, and hospitals damaged or destroyed.
And yet - our teams are still on the ground, making sure people have support when they need it most. On September 5, Project HOPE opened a fully renovated outpatient clinic in Mykulychi, a village in Kyiv. More than 2,500 people, including displaced families, now have access to safer, modern, and energy-efficient health care - even in the middle of war.
