Dear John,

Next week it’s the Labour Party Conference and we’re going to be there. We’re setting up shop to tell the party it must rethink its disastrous Planning and Infrastructure Bill. And we’ll be telling it that over 100,000 of our supporters agree – can we count on your support too?

The UK government has  blamed newts, bats and even snails for this country’s development woes . It wants  to trash protections for nature and give developers free rein over our countryside and communities.  This would be wrongheaded and ruinous.

We’re going in person to tell them to rethink the bill. So, now’s the time to add your voice and help us show how much this matters.

The Planning and Infrastructure Bill is poised to shape how we build and whether we protect what matters. It could provide the foundation for a greener, healthier future – but not if the government embarks on a crusade for growth at any cost.

Ultimately, decisions made on the bill this autumn could dictate how development happens for decades. Not just for nature but for communities, who will lose their say on local planning. We want to see the kind of growth that helps local communities and nature to thrive together.

Please join the call for green growth and next week we’ll tell Labour it must ditch its ruinous plans.
