In 2019, 50CAN launched the inaugural cohort of National Voices fellows to build a community of bipartisan advocates to envision and champion the education system of the future. Since then, the future has become the present, and our fellows are engaged in some of the most significant shifts in education policy in our lifetimes. Over one million American students are utilizing some form of school choice, our nation’s collective approach to reading and math instruction is being redefined, and a shared definition of school quality and the future of accountability is taking shape. Countless reforms to our K-12 systems, championed by National Voices alumni, have been signed into law or captured the public debate. But the hard work of implementing these changes is just beginning.

The eighth cohort of 50CAN's National Voices fellowship will take on this challenge directly, as they learn about key efforts happening in education across the country while strengthening their own personal brand, leadership, and vision.

The National Voices Fellowship is our signature effort to identify the next generation of compelling education advocates and spokespeople, who are willing to work across political and racial divides to empower families and build a K-12 system that allows every student to become the very best version of themselves.

To date, our fellows have contributed to the national discussion about the state of American education in The New York Times, Fox & Friends, EdWeek, Axios, The Hill, The 74 Million, EdSurge, the New York Daily News, Fox News, the Star-Telegram, the Arizona Capitol Times, the Dallas Morning News, Bloomberg, The Dispatch, Real Clear Education and many more, while also taking on key roles in philanthropy, advocacy, and government.
