Urge Congress to reject Trump’s cruel cuts to humanitarian aid

Jack,

People around the world are dying because of the Trump administration’s unprecedented assault on U.S. humanitarian aid programs. But this month, we have the chance to demand that Congress begin to right that wrong.

Join us in urging the Senate to stop even deeper cuts to lifesaving aid and instead fully fund the aid that families depend on.

TAKE ACTION

For months, we’ve witnessed the devastating ripple effects of the Trump administration’s reckless cuts to humanitarian aid.

By effectively shuttering the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Trump and his allies have decimated global health, deadly disease prevention, disaster relief, and other critical initiatives. This past summer alone, Trump and his Republican allies in Congress clawed back billions of dollars more in lifesaving assistance for people around the globe who were already fighting to stay alive without food, clean water, and other vital services.

Every day, we hear harrowing stories from women, children, and families who are bearing the brunt of U.S. humanitarian aid cuts. Now, with a government shutdown looming, even more cuts to critical aid are at stake. Urge your senators to protect and fund lifesaving U.S. humanitarian aid and development assistance.

TAKE ACTION

Millions of people at home and abroad continue to pay the price as Trump and Republicans push for policies that benefit the ultra-rich and mega corporations over everyone else. The administration’s enacted and proposed cuts to humanitarian aid total $31.7 billion. Meanwhile, the ultra-rich in the U.S. are set to receive roughly twice that amount in just one year of tax breaks, thanks to the tax bill Trump signed in July.

Trump’s attacks on humanitarian aid are not only cruel, but also deeply unpopular. In a May 2025 poll, Oxfam America found that 2 out of 3 Americans, including nearly half of Republicans, do not support the 85% cuts to U.S. aid programs enacted by the Trump administration. Nearly 95% of Americans think it would be appropriate for the U.S. to invest more in foreign aid than the administration’s current budget.

Don’t let the Trump administration put even more lives on the line with its cruel, unpopular cuts to U.S. humanitarian aid. Urge your senators to fund lifesaving humanitarian assistance at the highest possible level.
