The CPC is the first caucus to officially support a U.S. arms embargo against Israel.

We have some good news to share, John:

Tweet by Prem Thakker: NEWS: The Congressional Progressive Caucus — which represents nearly 100 members — has voted to endorse the Block the Bombs Act, to block weapon sales to Israel. First time any major caucus has backed a bill to end US aid for Israel’s destruction of Gaza.

The Congressional Progressive Caucus, led by Rep. Greg Casar, just officially endorsed Rep. Delia Ramirez’s Block the Bombs Act, which would block U.S. weapons sales to Israel to stop the genocide.

This is a big step forward in our fight to hold Israel accountable for its genocide and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in Gaza while escalating attacks on neighboring countries.

The CPC represents nearly 100 Democrats in the House, about double the number of members who previously signed onto the bill, which just goes to show that the pressure we’re building is working!

The vast majority of Democrats and voters across party lines are opposed to our government enabling Israel’s war crimes by sending more bombs and weapons — and Congress is finally listening.

But EVERY Democrat in Congress should stand against this genocide. Add your name to demand the rest of the Democratic Party join the CPC in supporting the Block the Bombs Act NOW →

There is no excuse for any member of the Democratic Party to oppose this legislation. Let’s continue to make that clear and get this bill passed ASAP.

In solidarity,
