SHARK’s fight against cruelty continues. Just this past Saturday, another steer tailing event was held—and another is already scheduled for this coming Sunday.
In Ogle County, we’ve been pushing hard to get officials to finally do their jobs. But we can’t do this alone. That’s where you come in. Follow SHARK on Facebook and Instagram to stay connected with our Daily Easy Actions—quick, powerful steps you can take to help us stop the abuse.
Documenting the cruelty is only part of our mission. Without your voices—your emails and your phone calls—authorities can brush us off. But when supporters like you speak out in numbers, our small but determined organization becomes impossible to ignore.
This Sunday’s event is set to take place at a rancho in Woodstock, IL—a venue that had its permit privileges revoked until August 17, 2026. McHenry County took a stand against this location, but these lawbreakers think they’re above accountability. They cut corners, violate permits, and often don’t bother with permits at all.
We are already moving to make sure McHenry County enforces the law and shuts this event down. We have made the officials in the county aware of the event, and they have a number of ways to make sure it is shut down. But whether they will or not, remains to be seen.
But if the event continues as scheduled, we will be there!
