Food-delivery robots may soon roll up to Purdue's campus

A board in West Lafayette, Indiana, has unanimously approved a pilot program bringing robotic delivery services to Purdue University, as well as a suspension of city code allowing small, cooler-size robots to operate on city sidewalks. Robert Wynkoop, senior director of auxiliary services for Purdue, said that the delivery robots would transport food and products from the university's dining and retail locations. "That could be a burger, a coffee, whatever the case may be," Wynkoop said.

Anheuser-Busch opts not to buy Portland’s Craft Brew Alliance

Today, Anheuser-Busch InBev declined an option to buy all of the Craft Brew Alliance, which owns Kona Brewing and Redhook Brewery, among others. AB InBev, the largest brewery in the U.S., owns slightly more than 31% of Portland-based CBA. Under a 2016 agreement, AB InBev had an Aug. 24 deadline to buy the rest of the company for a predetermined price.

Truly Hard Seltzer-maker Boston Beer Company announced today the nationwide launch of “Truly on Tap,” a new product that the company is calling ”one of the first hard seltzers available on draft” across the country. We will see if other hard seltzer-makers follow suit.

Trade war: China slaps tariffs on $75B of US goods

China has placed new tariffs on $75 billion worth of U.S. goods. This is the latest in the ongoing trade war as the United States prepares to place tariffs on another $300 billion worth of Chinese goods in September. This "reinforces America's perception of China as a bad actor" said Trump's trade advisor Peter Navarro during an interview on FOX Business immediately after the tariffs were announced. An escalation in the trade war could cause more problems for the stock market, which earlier this month found itself under pressure as tensions ratcheted back up.
