I'm furious.

The Pentagon — under Trump’s hand-picked Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth — just announced a sweeping crackdown on press freedom.

From now on, reporters will be forced to sign a pledge not to gather any unapproved information… or lose their credentials altogether.

Let’s be clear: This is a direct assault on the First Amendment and the very idea of a free and independent press — at the heart of our military operations.

As someone who served for decades in uniform, I can tell you this: our military works best when there’s oversight. When the press is allowed to ask the tough questions. When the people know what’s being done in their name.

What Hegseth and Trump are doing is textbook authoritarianism — and it’s happening right now.
