The freedom of speech and expression has been the cornerstone of our democracy since its founding. But right now, it’s under attack in America.
Last week, I did two things to protect this sacred right—I voted to condemn the brutal murder of Charlie Kirk and all forms of political violence. As much as I may have disagreed with some of the things Mr. Kirk might have said, he had a right to express his views in a free country. I also protested the canceling of Jimmy Kimmel for his own free expression around the lionizing of Mr. Kirk in his death. Agree or disagree with Kimmel’s comments, he has a right to express them.
Now, there’s one other thing we all can do—help elect a majority that will protect and further bolster our freedom of speech.
The 2026 midterms are a critical safeguard to stop the full-speed takeover of our government that we are seeing from Trump and Congressional Republicans. Winning a majority is the only option.
This year, I’m focused on fundraising not only for myself, but competitive races across the country. To help make a pro free speech majority, I’m asking you to chip in $15 dollars today.

When we are able to express and confront ideas different than our own, they challenge us, and draw us into new ways of thinking, and cause us to examine our own perspectives for accuracy and truth.
