Stories like Miguel Lopez's are becoming all too common. I flew down to Mexico City to meet with Miguel after he was deported despite being in the process of getting citizenship in the United States. 

Miguel was detained for 10 days before being ripped from his family and sent back to Mexico. I promised his family that I would do everything in my power to reunite them.

Trump and Republicans claimed they were going after “the worst of the worst.” Instead, they are targeting people like Miguel and tearing them from their homes, their jobs, their community, and their families.

I encourage you to listen to my meeting with Miguel in Mexico City and learn about how people like Miguel are staples in their community. 

We can’t let this continue. Stand with me as I fight to reunite people like Miguel with their families and stop the mass deportation of innocent people going through the lawful process of obtaining residency in the United States.
