The redistricting arms race that Trump spurred when he ordered Texas to draw up new Congressional maps has escalated to a nuclear level. 

Following Texas’ lead, GOP legislatures in Missouri, Utah, Indiana, Ohio, and Florida, are now all following suit, drawing up blood red redistricts of their own that in some cases remove all Democratic seats. 

Now the next domino, and what could very well be the final one, is set to fall… MAGA redistricts in swing states like New Hampshire. 

That’s why last week Trump ordered New Hampshire’s governor to redraw New Hampshire’s Congressional maps. 

I’m the Democrat running in New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District which is on the chopping block. 

Trump is targeting my district for redistricting because this is the most competitive Congressional district in the United States. It is a D+1 seat. They know that our campaign can win here so they want to add in tens of thousands of Republican voters from rural New Hampshire to bolster their chances. 

We’ve crunched the numbers and even in a markedly more Republican district, this campaign still wins. But it will come at a far steeper monetary cost. 

To win NH-01 in its current D+1 configuration, the CPV (cost per vote) — a calculation that campaigns use to find out how much on average they must spend to get one vote, is $17. If the District becomes R+3 in a gerrymander that CPV goes up to $27.



We need to begin preparing today. Can we count on you to rush the cost of a vote in our new gerrymandered district — $27, or make a donation of whatever you can spare?

This is all happening because Trump sees us as a threat. Let’s prove him right.
