Friend, I'm a lifelong Ohioan, through and through.
I grew up right here in our district, in the same house I still live in today. And where I come from, a house still means a lot.
My grandparents were Polish immigrants who chose to put down roots and raise their families in Toledo. My mom worked at Champion Spark Plug, where she helped organize the first union there, and my dad retired from Jeep to run a small family grocery store.
Owning this house meant more than just the security of a roof over our heads. It meant that we were part of a community where people looked out for us, and we looked out for them.
I have lived in this district, in the same house, for most of my life. My constituents are my friends and my neighbors. I'm honored to serve them and to fight for them in Washington.
Governing is not always glamorous, friend. Crafting, amending, and passing legislation is a grueling process that requires dedication and patience. Often, we're up against long odds and big-money special interests.
But I go to work every day with the same fire I had when I was first elected because I'm fighting for my home, too. Can I count on you to support our work?

Thank you so much, friend.
