The upcoming special election in California will determine if we are redistricted. From now until November 4, there is great uncertainty about the future of my race.

While Trump and MAGA strategists scramble to redistrict red states to steal the majority and continue to pass their extremist agenda, California is fighting back by redistricting to counter the red gains made in Texas and Missouri.

Until November, my California colleagues and I are in limbo. Redistricting will change the trajectory of my race. I will need to increase our communications and outreach budgets so that I can introduce myself to new voters and earn their vote.

If the proposition does not pass, Republicans will put a target on our backs. They would believe that Democratic voters are less engaged and more likely to defect in the Midterms.

Here's what that means for us: whether the proposition passes or fails, we have a long road ahead and need urgent funds to fight the challenges ahead.

We cannot sit by while we wait for the results of the special election and the future of California’s 25th district. We need to act now.

In this uncertain time, we need to stay focused and prepared for whatever happens. We need to show the strength of our campaign when our FEC Q3 numbers go public in a few weeks.
