Wow, John. Did you catch that debate?

They didn’t expect to hear about this:

Phil had a real zinger at yesterday’s debate -- he drew attention to the fact that three of our opponents (all Dems!) have something that looks like this red box on their website.

Campaign finance law prohibits candidates and super PACs that support them from coordinating efforts. The red box is the way campaigns skirt the law by highlighting (in the red box) specific information on their website they want super PACs and outside influencers to use.

If it were done in secret, it’d be illegal.

Since Phil asked about this at the debate and his opponents had no answer, we’re calling on them to take their red boxes down -- but in the meantime, we need to keep raising money to get the good word about Phil out since we don’t have super PACs spending on our behalf. Can you chip in $3 today to help us do that?

Phil is committed to raising money from real people. That’s why he is opposed to skirting campaign finance law (while his opponents actually encourage it).

Phil knows from his time on the Hill that members of Congress who have a deep and wide base of grassroots fundraising support from individual donors aren’t beholden to special interests.

Can you kick in a donation today so we can show how Phil sticks to his convictions about grassroots fundraising?

Thanks in advance for anything you can do.

Paid for by Phil Gardner for Congress

Phil Gardner served as the District Director for Congressman Rep. Denny Heck in Washington's 10th District. Now, he's running to replace Denny in order to continue fighting for the people of the South Sound and our shared progressive values. If elected, Phil would make history as Washington state’s first openly LGBT Member of Congress.

To support Phil's campaign, donate here. We'd hate to see you go, but if you can unsubscribe: [link removed] here.
