I know you must be receiving a lot of messages from candidates like me.

So today, I want to pull back the curtain and explain exactly why your support right now makes a difference in my race.

In eight days, my next FEC deadline hits. Come September 30th, we are required to report our fundraising totals from the last three months. While this is a win for transparency in our politics, it also means that everyone – our GOP opponents included – will have full access to how we perform.

I’ve said this before, and it remains true: Asking supporters like you for donations is my least favorite part of being in Congress. But with all that is at stake for our democracy, it’s essential to keep me in Washington fighting for IL-13.

And it’s not just talk. I’m getting results: Passing legislation to support our veterans, ensuring our schools are fully funded, and fighting with every fiber of my being to protect working families in Central and Southern Illinois.

Meanwhile, the national GOP is zeroing in on this seat as a key flip to protect their far-right majority. I’m facing several challengers who want nothing more than to serve as a rubber stamp for the MAGA agenda – not work for Illinoisans.

That’s why right now, I’m humbly asking for your support ahead of my FEC deadline. $3 or any amount from you will help give us a strong showing on this report.
