Hi John — it's Hannah Pingree and I’m running for Governor of Maine. In case you missed it, I wanted you to hear this.

I am endorsed by Vote Mama, an organization that is close to my heart that supports moms running for office. Being a mother has shaped who I am as a leader, which is why I love their mission of helping get Democratic moms elected!

I was pregnant when I finished my term as Speaker of the House, and now, with two (almost!) teenagers, I’m very proud to be running for Governor of Maine with the help of my kids.

Serving in office as a mom has grounded me in what matters most: building a better future for Maine kids and families.

That means protecting healthcare, reproductive rights, funding early childhood education and our public schools, lowering the costs of childcare, and fighting for affordable housing.

Maine needs a leader who shows up for our kids and our communities, who listens before acting, and who knows how to get things done. Qualities that a mom knows well.
