America is supposed to be a bastion of free speech, friends.
But last week, that principle was shattered. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chair Brendan Carr pressured Disney-owned ABC to suspend Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show, simply because Trump didn’t like what he said. And Disney caved.
Brendan Carr must resign immediately – or President Trump must fire him.
This isn’t about whether you agree with Kimmel. It’s about whether the government can silence critics for political convenience. If Carr can do this to a late-night host, he can do it to anyone.
If Trump and Carr are allowed to silence any voices they disagree with, our democracy is over. The courts must take this up – and everyone across the political spectrum should be speaking out.
