Last week may go down in history as America’s 21st-century Turning Point — the moment when the country came back together … and the Left fell apart.
While millions of Americans celebrated the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk, liberals — no, seriously — spent the week attacking him!
“Comedian” Jimmy Kimmel tried to gaslight the American people into believing that Charlie Kirk’s leftist assassin was really a MAGA operative. He got pulled off the air.
Woke teachers, bureaucrats, and health care professionals who publicly celebrated Kirk’s murder were fired.
Even before Kirk was laid to rest, liberal members of Congress could not help but slander him, his beliefs, and the vast majority of Americans who share those beliefs. All told, 118 Democrats refused to vote for a congressional resolution honoring the martyred conservative activist.
Right on cue, over the weekend, leftist violence struck again: at a TV station in California and at a wedding reception in New Hampshire.
Something is happening across the country. What comes next won’t be easy — but nothing great ever is.
Last Week
Last week, the Senate confirmed 50 of President Trump’s nominees — including 48 at once under the newly changed rules allowing multi-nomination votes.
Next, the Senate turned to the ongoing fight over funding the government past the end of the fiscal year on September 30. The House of Representatives passed a short-term spending bill to keep the government open until November 21. The Senate took up the same bill, but Democrats defeated it.
Conservative Spotlight
MIKE LEE — The Senate unanimously passed Sen. Mike Lee’s (R-UT) resolution honoring Charlie Kirk’s “commitment to the constitutional principles of civil discussion and debate” and condemning his assassination.
JOSH HAWLEY — At a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing last week, U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) got commitments from FBI Director Kash Patel to investigate two criminal threats now emerging from the online left: the promotion of anti-Christian violence and AI-generated child sex abuse.
RON JOHNSON — U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) chaired a hearing last week in the Senate’s Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations on “How the Corruption of Science has Impacted Public Perception and Policies Regarding Vaccines.”
This Week
The Senate is in recess this week and will return Monday, September 29 — two days before the Democrats’ threatened government shutdown.
