How Should Conservatives Respond to Charlie Kirk’s Murder?

The Heritage Foundation

What now? The entire conservative movement must work to uphold Charlie Kirk’s legacy by fighting (figuratively) for the American people or else give up this country, says Heritage President Dr. Kevin Roberts. The time is now.

  • “Now is a time for every American to pray, for sure. But it’s also time for every single one of us to get involved—and never allow the radical Left to win again,” wrote Kevin Roberts on X.
  • The photo above shows a seven-story banner honoring Charlie Kirk mounted on the side of The Heritage Foundation headquarters building on Capitol Hill.

TikTok Deal Doesn’t Go Far Enough

No half measures: Heritage technology and China experts oppose a potential TikTok deal that would let China retain some control of the popular social media platform.

  • “TikTok is a weapon of the Chinese Communist Party,” said Wes Hodges, acting director of the Center for Technology and the Human Person.
  • “A halfway deal that leaves a backdoor open for Beijing…should be rejected,” Hodges said.

See For Yourself: Most NIH Grants Go to Blue Districts

Screenshot

Biased: Heritage Senior Research Fellow Jay Greene unearthed data showing that National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants go to only a small number of—primarily Democratic-represented—congressional districts.

  • Institutions in these districts also tend to be in expensive cities and charge taxpayers higher overhead costs for research grants. “The NIH has been hijacked to advance political agendas,” Greene writes in The Daily Signal.
