Hey Everyone,

Thank you for all your resistance efforts this past week! There are some exciting opportunities this week to assist in your organizing efforts.

League of Women Voters of Lexington is having an informal gathering called Democracy Holler at Kentucky Native Cafe on Tuesday, September 23rd from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome!

Forward Kentucky is hosting Summit ‘25 on Saturday, September 27th from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. This is an all-day virtual event featuring talks and workshops for activists, campaigns, candidates, county party leaders, and everyday citizens. October 12th

Member Meeting: One Million Rising

Join us to take part in the national Indivisible initiative One Million Rising! The first part of the meeting will be educational and focus on teaching strategies for non-cooperation. Then we will break into small groups to brainstorm how we use these strategies to create change in our communities.

When: Sunday, October 12th at 1 p.m.

In June, No Kings Day was one the biggest days of protest in the nation. On October 18th, we will exceed those numbers!

When: Satuday, October 18th at 1 p.m.

* NATIONAL: MORAL MONDAYS IN GEORGETOWN - SEPTEMBER 22ND
Join Georgetown Resistance for a weekly protest at Scott County Courthouse (101 E. Main St in Georgetown) from 4:45 p.m until 5:45 p.m. The group asks that you bring non-confrontational, positive signs focused on issues. You can join their private Facebook group ([link removed]) for updates.

* LOCAL: DEMOCRACY HOLLER - SEPTEMBER 23RD
Join League of Women Voters of Lexington for Democracy Holler on Tuesday, September 23rd from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Kentucky Native Cafe (417 E. Maxwell Street in Lexington). This is an informal gathering to connect and reenergize. Everyone is welcome!

* NATIONAL: PRESSURE ABC/DISNEY TO REINSTATE JIMMY KIMMEL
National Indivisible has put together a toolkit about how to pressure ABC/Disney to reinstate Jimmy Kimmel. If you live in the KY-6 congressional district, contact Andy Barr at (859) 219-1366 and demand that FCC Chair Brendan Carr, Disney/ABC executives, and their partners testify under oath in front of Congress. The Indivisible toolkit includes other actions you can take including boycotts, cancellations, and phone calls. Visit the Indivisible website for the toolkit ([link removed]) .

* NATIONAL: DEMAND THE RELEASE OF THE EPSTEIN FILES!!!
If you live in KY-6 congressional district, call Andy Barr and demand the full public release of the Epstein Files - (859) 219-1366. If you live in a different congressional district, please contact your representative. The 5 Calls website ([link removed]) has up-to-date information and talking points.
* NATIONAL: CALL YOUR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS
