Thank you for all your resistance efforts this past week! There are some exciting opportunities this week to assist in your organizing efforts.

League of Women Voters of Lexington is having an informal gathering called Democracy Holler at Kentucky Native Cafe on Tuesday, September 23rd from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome!

Forward Kentucky is hosting Summit ‘25 on Saturday, September 27th from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. This is an all-day virtual event featuring talks and workshops for activists, campaigns, candidates, county party leaders, and everyday citizens. October 12th

Member Meeting: One Million Rising

Join us to take part in the national Indivisible initiative One Million Rising! The first part of the meeting will be educational and focus on teaching strategies for non-cooperation. Then we will break into small groups to brainstorm how we use these strategies to create change in our communities.

In June, No Kings Day was one the biggest days of protest in the nation. On October 18th, we will exceed those numbers!

National Indivisible has put together a toolkit about how to pressure ABC/Disney to reinstate Jimmy Kimmel. If you live in the KY-6 congressional district, contact Andy Barr at (859) 219-1366 and demand that FCC Chair Brendan Carr, Disney/ABC executives, and their partners testify under oath in front of Congress.
