Sexual and reproductive health is a human right, but due to war, too many in Ukraine face barriers to this essential care.
Recent devastating attacks have claimed lives in Kyiv and the Chernihiv Region, including a mother, her young child, and aid workers. Behind every statistic is a human story — of aspiration, resilience, and a life’s story unrealized.
The resilience of aid workers during this time cannot be understated.
Aid workers are bravely risking their lives to provide a lifeline for vulnerable women and girls. Through psychosocial support, mobile health clinics, and Dignity Kits, their efforts are delivering much-needed hope to those impacted by the war in Ukraine.
In light of recent attacks, UNFPA is deeply concerned about the escalation of war in Ukraine. As a result, humanitarian needs will dramatically escalate. We are on the ground ready to deliver essential medicines, supplies and services, but we need your help to ensure that reproductive healthcare is sustained.
UNFPA depends on generous donors like you to meet this rising need for care. We urgently need your help today to reach more women and girls in Ukraine. Will you be there for those living through this unimaginable crisis?
Thank you for being there for women and girls.
