A decade after the Supreme Court made marriage equality the law of the
land in the historic decision Obergefell v. Hodges, right-wing extremists
are STILL trying to turn back the clock.

The Supreme Court was just formally asked to take up an appeal that, if
won, would overturn the 2015 Obergefell ruling and jeopardize federal
protections for same-sex marriage.

Obergefell, which cemented marriage as a fundamental right for every
couple, was the culmination of decades of hard work from activists
fighting for equal rights.

Let me tell you: we will not let the
far-right roll back our hard-won progress.

As the first openly gay Senator in our nation's history, I promise not to
back down. I will keep up the fight for LGBTQ+ rights until every person
can live freely, openly, and authentically.
