Email from Zionist Organization of America   ZIONIST ORGANIZATION OF AMERICA   September 2025 | Tishrei 5786 Dear Fellow Zionist, As we get ready for the Jewish New Year, we ask for your support helping ZOA continue to fight Jew-hatred and defend Israel. Every gift strengthens ZOA’s ability to protect Israel and the Jewish people in the media, on campus, in the courts, and in public policy. Here’s how ZOA fights antisemitism: Advocacy in the Media ZOA National President Morton Klein and other ZOA officials regularly appear on television and radio and in print media, including the Jerusalem Post, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Newsmax, Fox, CNN, and MSNBC. ZOA National President Morton Klein on the Mike Huckabee Show   ZOA Center for Law & Justice, Directed by Susan Tuchman, Esq. Led the successful six-year battle to reinterpret Title VI of the Civil Rights Act to protect Jewish students from antisemitic harassment and discrimination – including galvanizing bipartisan support from members of Congress. Filed the groundbreaking Title VI complaint against the University of California, Irvine – the first case of campus antisemitism that the Office for Civil Rights agreed to investigate under Title VI. Filed legal actions to protect Jewish students at universities and school districts across the country, including, but not limited to, Rutgers University, Brooklyn College, The City University of New York, Duke University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Fairfax County Public Schools, and Cherry Hill Public Schools. ZOA laid the groundwork for all Title VI antisemitism cases brought today. Thanks to ZOA’s relentless campaign – which it fought virtually alone for years – Jewish students are protected from antisemitic discrimination under Title VI.   Few [Title VI] complaints were as luridly detailed or as compelling as ZOA’s Susan Tuchman’s, which painted an appalling portrait of both anti-Jewish harassment and administrative indifference. Kenneth L. Marcus, former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Education for Civil Rights, in his book, Jewish Identity and Civil Rights in America   Mort Klein shows what real leadership is. There are a very select, few Jewish nonprofits that amplify the voices of Jewish students. In that, ZOA stands alone. Shabbos Kestenbaum, renowned student activist who filed a major lawsuit against Harvard University for allowing antisemitism on campus   ZOA Campus, Directed by Jonathan Ginsburg Our ZOA Campus Fellow at Harvard University helped successfully push the administration to adopt the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism. Our ZOA Campus Fellow at Saint Louis University testified before the Missouri House Committee in support of a bill to combat antisemitism. ZOA Campus arms students with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to fight the antisemitic lies disseminated on campus, including about genocide, starvation, and apartheid, through advocacy seminars, educational materials, and Zionist speakers. ZOA Campus also brings a large contingent of student leaders to Israel every year. ZOA is the only major Jewish organization that brings students to Judea and Samaria to show them the beautiful and thriving Jewish communities living in that integral part of our ancient homeland, and to dispel the lies that they are radical settler colonialists.   This trip was truly the experience of a lifetime. All the ZOA staff members were super accommodating, and the other students were just as passionate about Israel as I am, which created a real sense of community. Max S., Rutgers University   At a recent World Zionist Congress in Basel, Switzerland, ZOA was the only organization to receive an award for our outstanding Israel advocacy. The renowned philanthropist Dr. Miriam Adelson, together with the Chairman of the World Zionist Organization, presented the award to ZOA National President Morton Klein.   Mort, I want to publicly acknowledge that you and ZOA have been right about everything. Michael Oren, former Israeli Ambassador to the United States, at a meeting of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations — consisting of over 50 member organizations — at the Inbal Hotel in Jerusalem, Israel, February 2025   You’re one of the most effective and important voices that we have on [Israel]. That’s why I love the ZOA, I love what you do, I love your effectiveness, and I want to say to our audience, the ZOA is the most effective, as well as the oldest pro-Zionist organization in the world. Mike Huckabee, U.S. Ambassador to Israel   ZOA Government Relations, Directed by Dan Pollak Helped pass the Solidify Iran Sanctions Act of 2025 (H.R. 1800), sponsored by Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (R-PA). Helped pass S.Res.72, affirming that Hamas must not retain political or military control in Gaza, sponsored by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC). Created a white paper for the House and Senate on how to respond to antisemitic propaganda about starvation and genocide in Gaza, and the disastrous prospect of a “two-state solution”. ZOA educates hundreds of members of Congress about the truth of the Arab-Islamic war against Israel and the West, and how Jews are demonized in widely disseminated antisemitic propaganda.   Give generously today to make the New Year safer for Jews everywhere. This Rosh Hashana, help ZOA fight Jew-hatred and defend our eternal homeland. DONATE   From myself and everyone at ZOA, we wish you, every Jew, and all of Israel, health, happiness, safety, and security. Shana Tova! Morton A. Klein National President When I think of ZOA, I think of an organization that refuses to compromise on the truth regardless of prevailing fashion. The ZOA is a xxxxxx in the defense of Israel. I urge you to support the ZOA and its efforts on behalf of Israel.
