Dear NRDC Action Fund Supporter,

In the midst of a global crisis, the Trump administration is prioritizing
polluters and further threatening our public health.

Throughout the course of the COVID-19 crisis, the Trump administration has
continued rolling back public health protections — wreaking havoc on our
environment, fouling our air and water, further derailing climate
progress, and disproportionately harming communities of color and
Indigenous communities.

In the midst of a respiratory pandemic — where preliminary health studies
have linked air pollution exposure with higher death rates — we need a
president who protects our public health, our clean air, and our
environment. And we need elected leaders who understand the severity of
the climate crisis and how industrial pollution impacts both our health
and our climate.

threatening our public health and the future of the planet!

Since the COVID-19 crisis first began in the United States back in March,
the Trump administration has pursued a litany of anti-environmental
rollbacks:

* In March, the EPA began allowing polluters to use COVID-19 as an
excuse to stop monitoring and reporting on their pollution; and the
Trump administration rolled back landmark automobile emissions and
fuel efficiency standards, allowing cars and trucks to pollute even
more ... and crippling one of our most promising measures for fighting
climate change
* In May, Trump instructed agencies to roll back or stop enforcing a
wide range of public health and environmental safeguards
* And in June, EPA finalized a rule that will gut critical elements of
the Clean Water Act, and Trump issued a sweeping executive order
allowing the government to ram through polluting projects without
adequate environmental reviews

Enough is enough.

[ [link removed] ]Can we count on you to stand with us and sign our petition to the White
House calling on Trump to STOP the attacks on our public health?

Our sister organization, NRDC, already filed litigation in response to
EPA’s decisions to roll back enforcement of industrial pollution standards
and the clean car rule. And NRDC is engaged in a lawsuit over EPA’s
broader rollback of the Clean Water Act.

Meanwhile, the NRDC Action Fund is doing everything in our power to
mobilize pro-environment, pro-science voters across the country to vote
Trump and his anti-environment allies out of office this fall.

But in the meantime, we must continue holding the administration
accountable for its outrageous anti-environment track-record.

[ [link removed] ]Can we
count on you to take urgent grassroots action and express your opposition
to the Trump administration’s attacks on public health protections, before
it's too late?

Sincerely,

Kevin Curtis
Executive Director, NRDC Action Fund
