Hi John,
Netroots Nation doesn’t end when the convention center closes; we still have two virtual sessions coming up in October. Both will be held on Zoom, so anyone can join us. Please share this email with anyone whom you think might be interested.
Disrupting Disinformation: A Cross-Platform Playbook to Fight Back
October 3, 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET
Trainers: Myles Bugbee and Britt Bischoff
The way voters engage with information has evolved—so must our strategies. Opinions are shaped across multiple platforms including search, AI, CTV, YouTube, and social media, creating both opportunities and challenges for progressives.
Winning in 2025 requires more than just better messaging; it demands a strategic, integrated approach that meets voters where they are and counters disinformation before it takes hold. While the right has built a well-funded, always-on machine, we must be smarter and more coordinated to break through. Join us to unpack the modern voter journey and share tactical interventions to preempt disinformation.
RSVP and learn how to coordinate across platforms to reach voters at critical moments.
Trans and Repro Rights: Right-wing Attacks on Bodily Autonomy
October 8, 1 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET
Speakers: Brennan Suen, Media Matters for America; Jasmine Geonzon, Reproaction; Ma’ayan Anafi, National Women’s Law Center; Ari Drennen, Media Matters for America; and Casey Doherty, Center for American Progress
As threats to trans rights and health care spread across the country, anti-trans campaigners are adopting well-established tactics from the anti-abortion movement. Right-wing figures are using pseudoscience, sympathetic mainstream media outlets, threats of violence, and more to simultaneously steamroll trans rights and reproductive health access for Americans. Our session will offer a deep dive into the coordinated attacks from the right, as well as the impact these attacks have on marginalized communities, including youth and people of color. We will strategize on how progressives can work across the reproductive justice and LGBTQ advocacy spaces to divert the common threat and protect vulnerable communities across the country.
RSVP for this Media Matters panel.
Looking forward to seeing you on Zoom soon!
