On March 12, 2025, ICE agents illegally abducted Kilmar Armando Ábrego García, a 29-year-old Beltsville, Maryland resident and father of a five-year-old disabled son.
Defying a federal court order, ICE forcibly removed him to El Salvador, where he was imprisoned for two months in CECOT, a notorious supermax prison known for human rights abuses. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled his deportation illegal, yet the Trump administration continues to target him with vindictive prosecution and new threats of removal. |
Maryland must investigate the unlawful kidnapping of Kilmar Armando Ábrego García. This is more than one man’s ordeal. It’s a dangerous assault on the rule of law.
That’s why Free Speech For People and Progressive Maryland are jointly calling on Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown and District Attorney Tara H. Jackson to launch a criminal investigation into the unlawful kidnapping of Mr. Ábrego García. No one is above the law. |
