When Donald Trump started pressuring Texas Republicans to steal him five congressional seats, I warned that such efforts to rig the midterm elections would spread like wildfire — and have dangerous consequences nationwide.

It pains me to say that I wasn’t wrong.

We’ve been talking a lot about efforts to manipulate maps in Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, and Florida. But this past week, news broke that Kansas now wants in on the cheating. Yes, the same Kansas where conservatives already hold three of the state’s four congressional seats.

Republicans are trying to force through a mid-decade gerrymander to unfairly eliminate Kansas’s only Democratic congressional seat.
