The Trump administration is trying to strip veterans and their families of their right to access abortion care through the Department of Veterans Affairs.

This proposed rule would completely undo the protections put in place under the Biden administration, making it harder or even impossible for veterans and their dependents to receive care when their life or health is at risk, or in cases of rape or incest.

I joined a coalition of 22 attorneys general in submitting a comment letter opposing this cruel and unlawful rollback. We’re standing up for the health and autonomy of veterans and their families.

Veterans have served our country. They and their families deserve safe, accessible healthcare, not political restrictions that put their lives and well-being at risk.
