Yes, we do still have an official FEC deadline on September 30th.

And, yes, even with everything going on right now, that deadline still matters.

Here’s why:

As you read this, our political opponents are hard at work. They’re carrying out Donald Trump’s orders, they’re in the media every day getting their message out, and they’re raising a ton of money.

Okay, so first off, it’s worth noting that Mark Kelly is one of just a few sitting Senators who have won in states where Republicans outnumber Democrats — and he’s done that not just once, but twice. He knows how to turn out voters and win.

What we do in response makes all the difference. I firmly believe that the only way we’ll see ourselves out of the situation we are in now, the only way we can bring back some real accountability, is by retaking majorities in the House and Senate. And that’s exactly what I’ve been working towards.

To do anything else would indicate that I have lost faith in democracy. And I am here to tell you, my faith has never wavered.

But securing that democracy takes constant work. It takes time, effort, and a significant amount of resources. I am committed to doing that work, but I can’t do it alone. From the Navy to NASA to my campaigns, I’ve always been lucky to have a strong team behind me.
