that gives me hope:

We are not as divided as the internet algorithms make it seem.

One of the blessings of public service is that I get to engage with
Americans of all political backgrounds.

Yes, real disagreements exist and yes, politics can bring out the worst in
all of us – but I truly believe most people are decent and kind.

When we give up on each other, we give up on democracy. That’s why I’ll
