My twelfth birthday party was inspired by my aunt and uncle’s Idaho dairy farm. Friends and family brought cow-themed gifts. We loved those cows on that farm, and my family knew all of their names.

With each birthday since, I’ve gotten a little older and my world has gotten a lot bigger. My love for farm animals has also grown with time, along with my belief that a better world for them means a better world for all of us.

Every year, I celebrate World Farm Animals Day with a different kind of gift: One that matches yours.

match my gift

In honor of the beautiful animals who shaped so much of my childhood, I will be matching your gift from now until World Farm Animals Day on October 2. This means your gift will not only help end the abuse of animals raised for food around the world, but it will go twice as far in creating that more compassionate world that I took for granted when I was young.

Why am I doing this? Because I believe in investing in what works. And when it comes to animal abuse in our broken food system, what works is putting the pressure on corporations profiting from that abuse.

So many animals are counting on us to be the generation that ends factory farming. Let’s use this opportunity to do what we know works—for them, for us.

Sometimes it’s hard to imagine recreating the pure joy of those childhood birthdays with all of their animal-centric love and energy. But then I remember the power of people like you, and how grateful I am to not be alone in this fight. Together, we aren’t just recreating that childhood joy, we’re growing it exponentially.

World Farm Animals Day is October 2. Will you celebrate with me?

Warmly,
