Dear friend,

We are gearing up for a fall full of grounded action. To kick it off, we’re highlighting a series of actions taking place in New York City around climate, economic inequality, and immigrant rights. This series is sponsored by GreenFaith and is the genesis of several liturgy and ritual pieces featured in our newest book, We Pray Freedom ([link removed]) .

In this letter:
* “Not in our name”, a song for Climate Week.
* Calls to action: Climate Week & No Kings
* Rev. Liz Theoharis’s newest article on Trump’s misuse of the Bible.
* Announcing the We Pray Freedom merch store

In solidarity and radical hope,

The Kairos Team

Not in Our Name ([link removed])

As performed at Climate Week

When the fires burn

And the seas rise

Not in our name

We say not in our name

When the oil burns

And the stocks rise

Not in our name

We say not in our name

When the gas burns

And the planet dies

Not in our name

We say not in our name

When you choose greed

And tell us lies

Not in our name

We say not in our name

** Save the Date: No Kings
------------------------------------------------------------

In this country, we don’t have kings or wannabe dictators. America belongs to us. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings. On October 18th, hundreds of thousands of people are taking to the streets to make it clear that America belongs to them. More information will be coming soon; for now, save the date.
